SUPERMARKETS (BRING SHOPPING BAGS WITH YOU, WE HAVE BAGS IN A BASKET BESIDE THE FRONT DOOR) The very best supermarket is Dunne’s; it’s located in the Swan shopping center about a 10-minute walk up Rathmines Road. The closest convenience store is Lennox Street Grocer, go right down Martin Street and you can’t miss it. There is a Spar two blocks away, go right when leaving house, at the next street go left, take the first right onto Kingsland Park Ave; the Spar store is at the end of this street on the left, it’s very handy for quick items and newspapers, but it’s a lot more expensive than Dunne’s. We love Dunne’s very fresh fish counter and butchers, excellent choice, and quality. There is also a Lidl and an Aldi on Rathmines Road, they are super cheap, great for fruits, vegetables and actually everything else..
